I must just be patient and hope for some news.
To be honest, I was just a touch concerned that it may have been snaffled by some thief, or other and I'd just be happier to know that it's safely stowed, these days.
I've seen some regrettable damage inflicted on various stone (and metal) treasures in the Churchyard, over nearly 30 years - I was very hopeful that the boot-scraper had not been yet another casualty in all that.

It has been a busy couple of days, I've also been having extreme difficulty accessing the website, and although I saw the notification of Ian's post I couldn't get into the site at all yesterday...

Hi, Folks...
In the very early 1980s, whenever walking through the Churchyard, I used to see (what looked like) a cast-iron boot-scaper, just outside (and to the left of) one of the doors.
It's many years since I saw it.
1. - Where is the boot-scraper, now?
2. - Was it taken in, for safety against theft? Or...
3. - Has it already been stolen?
Can anybody help me with those questions? (I'd imagine that many of you are actually too young to recall it, so I realise that helping me may involve a touch of asking around a few of the Elders.)
