Church's Ministry to the Jews
This was founded in 1809 as "London Society for the Promotion of Christianity among the Jews". This Society founded the first protestant church in the Middle East. It now has Christ Church near the Jaffa Gate in Jerusalem, and Alexander College, a Conference Centre, Shoresh tours of the Holy Land, a Heritage Centre, and bookshop. The Messianic congregation (i.e. Hebrew Christians) has a soup kitchen and discipleship centre. There is a prayer Centre in North Israel, and in Jaffa and Tel Aviv there are guest houses. In Jerusalem there is an Anglican International School. In the present turbulent situation the Christians in the Holy Land need our special prayer support.
