Sunday Club provides Bible teaching and fun activities for children aged 3-11. Meeting during the morning service, we share the Christian message and its meaning with the children in an enjoyable and accessible way. There are four groups, each led by a team of trained and CRB-checked leaders: Supercreche (Pre-school age) Scramblers (Reception – Year 2) Climbers (Years 3 and 4) Explorers (Years 5 and 6) The children join in the first part of the morning service at 10.30am, before being taken to their groups. We meet in the church hall every Sunday during the school term – apart from the first Sunday in the month, which is an all-age family service starting at the later time of 11am.
In Supercreche we read Bible stories together and have colouring or simple craft activities. There are also toys available for supervised play. You are welcome to stay with your child if you would like to, while they settle into the group. We do ask that children are potty-trained before they join Supercreche.
Scramblers, Climbers and Explorers all follow the same teaching programme, but pitched at an appropriate level for the children’s age and experience. We play games, have craft activities, read the Bible and pray together, learning about God and how we can live our lives His way.
We also have parties at Christmas and in the summer, and hold occasional bring and share lunches for parents, children and leaders to meet together.
